The names of Michael League and Bill Laurance, the only heterophile presence in the rich tricolor program of Fano Jazz By The Sea 2020, inevitably refer to a brand that for fifteen years has been synonymous with music at 360 degrees, representing a phenomenon in itself in the context of contemporary jazz and more generally of today’s music, that of Snarky Puppy. The couple heralds soft, chamber-like atmospheres, and promises to make the public participate in an intimate dialogue, full of nuances, but completely atrocious and self-referential.
