Seun Kuti is the son of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, Fela Kuti, “The Black President”, Nigerian revolutionary, musician and activist, inventor of Afrobeat.
With him, the historic formation of Egypt 80, “the most infernal rhythmic machine of tropical Africa”. Like his father, Seun struggles with music for the affirmation of his own people, introducing the inflections of rap and new soul into the roar of the afrobeat ‘locomotive’.
